About Dr. Addy Olubamiji

Founder/CEO of Pathfinders

Dr. Addy Olubamiji is a pioneering technology executive and thought leader in digital transformation and additive manufacturing. In 2017, she became the first Black person to earn a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. She advanced rapidly in industry—most recently as Solutions Engineering Director at Desktop Metal—and previously shaped metal 3D‑printing adoption at Cummins Inc. and facility expansion at Burloak Technologies. A global speaker and board member of Women in 3D Printing and the TIPE conference, she leverages scholarly work and TEDx talks to drive innovation and inclusivity.

As a serial entrepreneur, Dr. Olubamiji has impacted over 15,000 individuals. Since 2021, she’s CEO of Pathfinder Consulting, providing study‑abroad, career coaching, and immigration consulting services. She also founded the STEMHub Foundation, delivering free STEM programs and mentorship to underrepresented youth, and co‑founded Synergy Private Equity, which manages 60+ properties across North America. Her awards include:
