About Dr. Addy Olubamiji

Dr. Addy Olubamiji is not just a name, she’s a movement.
A trailblazing technology executive, serial entrepreneur, and global thought leader, Dr.Addy is passionately redefining what’s possible for underrepresented voices in tech, business, and innovation across North America, Africa, and Europe. In 2017, she shattered barriers by becoming the first Black person to earn a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada — a historic milestone that laid the foundation for a career built on breaking ceilings and building bridges. From her pioneering work in additive manufacturing at a Fortune 500 company, where she rose rapidly to Director and earned global recognition to her TEDx talks, thought leadership, and industry-shaping board roles, Dr. Addy has become a trusted voice in digital transformation, inclusive innovation, and next-generation leadership. She is the founder of D-Tech Centrix, a U.S.-based EdTech company that has since evolved into Pathfinder Consulting — a purpose-driven firm focused on study abroad, career coaching, immigration strategy, and wealth-building through business and real estate acquisition. Through this platform, she has impacted over 15,000 professionals across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Africa.

Dr. Addy is also the Co-Founder and Vice President of Synergy Private Equity Corp, a real estate investment firm with a portfolio of 60+ properties across North America. Her passion for empowerment also led her to establish the STEMHub Foundation, a Canadian charity that has provided free STEM programs, professional mentorship, and skill acquisition training to more than 15,000 Black professionals and youth. Her influence spans boardrooms, classrooms, and international stages. She currently serves on the boards of Women in 3D Printing, Midlothian Angels Network, and the Technology Track at the TIPE Conference, while actively contributing to scholarly publications, conference circuits, and policy-shaping conversations. Dr. Addy’s exceptional work has earned her accolades such as:
